The reader is already paired with another host device.

Scanner is connected to Android

Unpair the reader. Then pair the reader and new host device.

The host device is too far from the reader. The Bluetooth is out of range, over 33 ft. (10m) from host device.		Move the devices closer together. The Bluetooth range is within 33ft. (10m) from host device.

On Apple iOS devices it's possible to use a Socket Mobile reader in Application Mode and read data into applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, Notes, or when scanning into a web-based text field. Please follow the instructions below:

Remove the batteries from your reader, leave them out for 10 minutes, re-insert and recharge the scanner overnight.

Important! - Charging your reader using an incorrect source (such as a computer USB port) will not provide enough current to charge reader. This may result in the reader registering as having more charge than it does and shutting down.

Please ensure your reader is sufficiently charged. If your reader is brand new it requires an initial charge of up to 8 hours.

How do I replace my DuraScan battery?

It is not possible to replace a battery in an older version of either the DuraScan D600 or D700 series reader.

If your DuraScan D600 or D700 series is the later v21 version, please follow the instructions below.

Remove Battery Door
Use screw driver to loosen screw and remove battery door.
Remove Battery
Use a flat head screw driver and place in the top right corner to gently push the battery out. Then, pull the connector to remove.
Insert New Battery
Plug the connector on the new battery.
Secure Battery Door
Ensure the battery door is properly placed, then screw the battery door back on.
