GS1 DataBar (Formerly RSS) Overview

All GS1 DataBar barcode is a family of symbols in the GS1 DataBar Coupon- Omnidirectional, Expanded and Limited. They all encode Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) in a 14-digit data structure and this symbol is 50% smaller than EAN/UPC.

Programming

GS1 DataBar is supported by default on all Socket Mobile barcode scanners. You can enable or disable this symbology on your Socket Mobile scanner simply by scanning the codes below.  Note: Scanner must be in a disconnected state before scanning the command barcode.
